Victory for Dubourg in Serre Chevalier opener

Jean-Baptiste Dubourg extends his lead at the top of the Andros eTrophy championship standings with victory in the opening race of the weekend at Serre Chevalier.

The Renault driver started from pole position and made a good getaway, but came under pressure from Aurelien Panis in the closing stages of the race. The race came to a close before Panis could mount a serious challenge for the position and Dubourg took his third win of the season.

Yann Ehrlacher was under fire from Benjamin Riviere and Nico Prost on the opening lap, but managed to hold position as Riviere and Prost fought for fourth. Riviere had the edge, taking the position, but spent the remainder of the race battling to stay ahead.

He came home just over a second ahead of Prost, though Prost’s qualifying performance meant the Renault driver takes two more points from the morning’s action.

Louis Gervoson came home sixth.

In the second of the two finals, Quentin Giordano picked up a lights-to-flag victory ahead of Nathaneal Berthon.

Franck Lagorce and Olivier Pernaut completed the Top 10.
