Granado clinches E-Pole in Catalunya qualifying

Eric Granado earns a third consecutive pole position after clinching the top position on a dominant qualifying stint.

The Brazilian rider set a lap time of 1m50.446s to go on top of the standings in qualifying. Having finished today’s practice session in second place, he was the penultimate driver to go for his E-Pole stint, as qualifying goes in reverse order.

This is Granado’s third pole in the season, having qualified at the front in the season opener at Jerez and repeating the feat in Le Mans.

Jordi Torres will start from P2; a 0.071-second difference separates him from the poleman. Dominic Aegerter completes the front row, starting from third position.

In second row, Miquel Pons, Lukas Tulovic, and Alessandro Zaccone will start from fourth, fifth, and sixth place, respectively.

Fermin Aldeguer, who had topped FP3 this morning, qualified in seventh position, starting from the third row, along with Mattia Casadei in P8 and Matteo Ferrari in P9.

The session went on with no incidents and a dry track due to the favourable weather conditions.
