Dennis dominates second practice session in Berlin

Jake Dennis was fastest for BMW in the final practice session before qualifying in Berlin ahead of the penultimate round of the championship.

The British driver set a time of 1m 06.228s to top the timesheets in another close session at Templehof. Dennis had already dominated yesterday’s FP1 session.

Lucas di Grassi was second quickest for Audi ahead of Mercedes’ Nyck de Vries, who stands as the championship leader heading into this weekend.

Robin Frijns, who had brushed the wall on the way into Turn 4 and had been leading the session prior to the 250kw laps, was fourth fastest, ahead of Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein in fifth, and Maximilian Guenther in the other BMW finishing in the sixth position.

Stoffel Vandoorne was seventh in the other Mercedes ahead of the DS techeetah pairing of Antonio Felix da Costa and Jean-Eric Vergne.

Norman Nato rounded out the top 10 for Venturi.
