Calendar revealed for the Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy

The calendar for the inaugural Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy has been announced with the series making its debut in Saudi Arabia on December 15.

The Formula E support series will comprise of 10 races in the first season, starting in Ad Diriyah in mid-December before the season finishes on July 14 in New York City – with the finale a double header like Formula E.

After Saudi Arabia, the series will visit Mexico City and Hong Kong before a trip to Sanya, China. Sanya is making its debut on the all-electric series calendar as the new era of Formula E begins.

A European leg of the season starts with a visit to Rome before Paris, Monaco and Berlin complete a schedule four races in seven weeks.

There is then a gap from May 25 to July 13 before a season-finale double header.

The calendar is subject to approval by the FIA World Motor Sport Council. Race days will consist of a practice session, a qualifying session and a 30-minute race ahead of the ePrix.

Marion Barnaby, Championship Manager of Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy, said: “Seeing Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy race cars line-up on the grid in December will be a proud and historic moment for Jaguar, and spectators can expect plenty of action from the races.

As we travel to some of the world’s most exciting cities, we’ll be bringing a new kind of electric street racing to the public and inspiring the next generation of electric vehicle owners.”
